Megan grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and is completing her first year in Bachelor of Arts at MacEwan University. During high school her desire to participate found her involved in all kinds of leadership opportunities, particularly sport tournaments. Outside of school, she actively participated in her community through refereeing, playing and coaching community soccer.

Since 2007, Megan has participated in Teen Time of Edmonton, a non denominational Christian charity organization. There she leads youth ages 8-17 in summer camps and retreats. Currently, she is part of the youth team planning weekly events for teenagers. Megan was chosen as the female leader at Teen Time for 2011-2012, and is responsible for mentoring and empowering 25 youth to be future leaders of the organization.

After high school Megan spent nearly a year at The Movement, a Christian discipleship program at the world renowned Los Angeles Dream Center. During her 10 month stay she was part of many service learning projects including Adopt-a-Block, where every Saturday morning was spent in the city residential Projects distributing food, supplies and helping families. Additionally, Megan worked with the Jonah Project on Skid Row reaching out to many homeless people in downtown LA. She has personally seen hope restored to many broken people as she  had the opportunity to build friendships with drug addicts, prostitutes, and homeless youth. In a group of 30 young people, Megan travelled Southern California spreading awareness about modern-day human trafficking in America.
Megan enjoys snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies, music, and traveling whenever she gets the chance. Megan is passionate about empowering youth and making a positive change in people’s lives!
