The Kidz Bite Back campaign empowers kids ages nine to twelve to educate their friends, families and neighbors on reevaluating their everyday relationships with high fat content foods and activities limiting physical activity like tv watching and gaming. Members of Kidz know the basics of a healthy lifestyle -- it's called the Kidz Creed: Every week, Kidz eat fast food no more than 1 time, drink soft drinks no more than 2 times, and eat junk food no more than 3 times. Everyday, kids are active 1 hour per day, limit screen time to 2 hours, drink 3 glasses of water, and eat 4-5 fruits and vegetables. Kidz Bite Back is an obesity campaign across the nation with success in: counter-marketing, kid-led grassroots movements, changing family culture and positively impacting academic performance. The upcoming year's campaign in Tampa Bay, Florida will involve 5,000+ students as a grassroots movement to connect with more than 25,000 people. Kidz believes they can have success against child obesity like the teen-led ëTruthí campaign has had against tobacco.
